Slovenia’s Eco Fund to Lend 50 Mln Euro for Environmental Projects

Slovenia’s public environmental fund Eco Fund plans to lend 50 million euro ($53.4 million) for environmental investments by local companies in 2023, the government said.

Eco Fund will also grant 39.5 million euro worth of incentives for energy efficiency improvements and will publish calls for applications for 162 million euro in incentives from the Climate Change Fund, the government said in a statement on Tuesday.

In 2023, the fund will launch public tenders for co-financing of activities of non-governmental organisations in the total amount of up to 970,142 euro, the government added.

Eco Fund was established in 1993 to promote development in the field of environmental protection by offering financial incentives such as soft loans and grants for different environmental investment projects.
