On 19 September, she will visit in Estonia’s Ida-Viru region the Eesti Power Plant, and the Narva’s Industrial Park, where companies are benefitting from the Just Transition Fund. She will also exchange with local youth representatives, leaders of local municipalities, and a group of international journalists.
On 20 September, she will continue her mission in Finland where she will meet Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, Minister for European Affairs Anders Adlercreutz and Minister of Economic Affairs Wille Rydman. She will also visit a project supported by the Technical Support Instrument to improve relations between different ethnic and linguistic groups in Vantaa city.
In the afternoon on 21 September, she will participate in a policy dialogue on the future of the EU’s regional and structural policy in Mikkeli. In outskirts of Mikkeli, she will also visit EcoSairila project that has received European Regional Development Fund support. EcoSairila is a hub of regional material cycles and combines a wide range of companies, public entities, research, innovation and educational organisations to create a unique innovation ecosystem in South Savo.
On 21 September, she will visit a border post close to Imatra in South Karelia and discuss with local stakeholders the cooperation opportunities brought by the Interreg programmes and the Just Transition Fund.
