Albania’s tourism ministry said it will launch by next week a free mobile phone application, aiming to improve tourist experience amid a rise in foreign visitors arrivals.
The application named TEA (Tourism Events in Albania) will allow tourists to access a calendar of activities across the country, in addition to a location-based event tracker, tourism minister Mirela Kumbaro said, speaking in an interview for local TV channel television Klan.
Approximately 1.686 million foreign tourists visited Albania in the first four months of 2023, a 57% increase over the same period of 2022, the country’s statistical office said earlier.
In 2022, as many as 7.5 million foreign tourists visited Albania, up 33% compared with 2021.
